The Oakville School of Music and Performing Arts (OSMPA) is a full-year academic program, September to June, offering music lessons to children from 2 years to adulthood. Students at the OSMPA have the option to study in a private lesson or group setting, depending on their age and playing level. The OSMPA encourages students to take part in the Royal Conservatory of Music Examinations, as well as music festivals. Students at the OSMPA also take part in a number of community events performing at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, the Oakville Bronte Tree Lighting Ceremonies, Oakville Half-Marathons, and the Glen Abbey Golf Tournaments. Teachers also prepare students for two in-school concerts. Teachers work one-on-one with each student to design a plan aimed to enhance each students’ success over the long-term in music.
